KABADDI: Sports inculcate discipline and a spirit of teamwork among youth and help them attain a healthy lifestyle, said Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan after a kabaddi match held at Khudian Khas in connection with Khelta Punjab on Friday.

He said the provincial government had initiated sports programmes to provide youth with a platform to showcase their talent and develop a healthy lifestyle instead of spending most of their time on mobile screens. Healthy activities would also keep youth away from narcotics, he added.

Appreciating the sports programmes of the chief minister, he said that it was reviving the culture that promoted talent from the grassroot level and helped them compete at the international level.
