The Jungle Giants join Empire of the Sun’s huge Adelaide show next March

Adelaide music lovers, get ready! Empire of the Sun’s highly anticipated return to the city has just become an even bigger night out, with Australian electro-pop favourites The Jungle Giants officially joining the lineup.

The exciting announcement means fans heading to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Tuesday 2 March 2027 will be treated to three acts in one night, with The Jungle Giants and rising electronic duo Roi Turbo joining Empire of the Sun for their spectacular Ask That God: Afterlife Tour.

The Jungle Giants will perform as the main support act exclusively for the Adelaide and Perth legs of the Australian tour, while The Temper Trap will join the Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne shows.

For Adelaide fans, the addition of The Jungle Giants is a major drawcard in its own right.

Known for their infectious dancefloor anthems, high-energy performances and feel-good sound, the Brisbane-formed band has become one of Australia’s most popular indie-electronic acts.

Fronted by Sam Hales, alongside Cesira Aitken, Andrew Dooris and Keelan Bijker, the group recently released their latest album, Experiencing Feelings of Joy, following the success of their number-one album Love Signs.

Their newest record delivers another collection of uplifting, dance-ready tracks, while exploring a more personal chapter for Hales, who channelled a challenging period of his life into the music.

Also joining the Adelaide lineup is South African-born, London-based duo Roi Turbo, made up of brothers Benjamin and Conor McCarthy.

The electronic dance-rock pair will open every Australian and New Zealand show, bringing their distinctive blend of disco, funk, house and dance-rock to the stage.

The announcement follows the release of their latest single, Can’t Stop the Beat, featuring Empire of the Sun’s own Luke Steele, on 28 October.

As for the main event, Empire of the Sun are preparing to deliver one of their most ambitious live productions yet.

The internationally acclaimed Australian duo, Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore, have spent almost two decades captivating audiences with their unmistakable fusion of electronic pop, elaborate costumes, surreal visuals and theatrical performances.

Fans can expect a celebration of the group’s extraordinary catalogue, including global favourites Walking on a Dream, We Are the People and Alive, alongside music from their latest album, Ask That God.

The upcoming Afterlife tour marks the final live chapter of the Ask That God era, with a reimagined production celebrating imagination, transformation and connection.

Since launching the tour in 2024, Empire of the Sun has sold more than 600,000 tickets worldwide, cementing its reputation as one of Australia’s biggest international live music exports.

With more than five million albums sold, six billion streams and eight ARIA Awards to their name, the duo’s return to Australian stages is shaping up to be a major moment for fans.

And with The Jungle Giants and Roi Turbo now confirmed, Adelaide audiences have even more reason to count down to March.
