Speaking on the aftermath of the severe cyclone, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stated that authorities managed to limit fatalities to around seven to eight individuals. He emphasised that administrative responses have improved with real-time monitoring and predictions, though controlling cyclone velocity remains impossible. Naidu noted that extensive disruption occurred in Konaseema, where 8,000 electric poles fell, with power restoration underway on a war footing. He confirmed discussions with the Union Home Minister, who is sending a central disaster team for assistance. Additionally, Naidu assured support for farmers facing crop destruction through combined crop insurance and input subsidies.
