Melbourne Renegades WBBL skipper Sophie Molineux says her group wants “leave nothing out there” in what could be their final season together.
Cricket Victoria is intending to sell the franchise to a private investor and gave up control of it earlier this year. While the Renegades may be no longer after this season, Molineux and her teammates have the chance to add another title to the one they won in 2024 as their new campaign begins with a Junction Oval double-header on Thursday and culminates in early December.

For Renegades stalwart Molineux, what is in front of the club almost represents a “free hit”.
The Renegades begin their campaign against the Sydney Thunder on Thursday afternoon, while Melbourne’s higher-profile club, the Stars, will play the first WBBL night match at Victoria’s home of cricket when they host Hobart Hurricanes.
