Adelaide International tickets go on sale TODAY with entry and free kids’ sessions

Adelaide’s biggest tennis event is returning this summer, with tickets for the 2027 Adelaide International going on sale today, Friday 16 October, following a record-breaking year that saw more than 60,000 fans attend.

The tournament will take over The Drive from 11 to 16 January 2027, bringing six days of world-class tennis, live entertainment and family-friendly activities to the heart of Adelaide.

Tickets go on sale at 12pm ACDT today, with adult entry starting from just $15 and children able to attend selected sessions for free.

The announcement follows the tournament’s most successful year yet, with 60,011 spectators attending in 2026, the highest figure in its eight-year history.

This year’s event saw world No. 3 Mirra Andreeva and Czech star Tomáš Macháč claim the singles titles, while rising Canadian talent Victoria Mboko, former world No. 3 Stefanos Tsitsipas and Adelaide favourite Thanasi Kokkinakis were among the competitors.

The first player announcements for 2027 are expected in the coming weeks, with another strong international field anticipated ahead of the Australian Open.

For families, there will be plenty to enjoy beyond the main matches.

Free men’s and women’s qualifying rounds will take place on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 January, giving spectators the chance to watch professional tennis without purchasing a ticket.

Kids Day will also return on Monday 11 January to kick off the main draw, while the popular Pinky Flat entertainment zone will be expanded with live music, additional shaded areas and opportunities for visitors of all ages and abilities to pick up a racquet.

Adelaide International Tournament Director Alicia Molik said the team was looking forward to building on this year’s record attendance.

“For 2027 we want to deliver world-class tennis on court, a great day out for the whole family in Pinky Flat, and the electric atmosphere that fans and players love,” Molik said.

The tournament combines a WTA 500 women’s event and an ATP 250 men’s event, with a $2.5 million prize pool. Adelaide is also home to one of just 17 WTA 500 tournaments worldwide, making it an important stop for international players preparing for the Australian Open.

Minister for Tourism Emily Bourke said the event continued to strengthen South Australia’s reputation as a major sporting destination, while showcasing the state to visiting athletes and fans.

During the 2026 tournament, players explored local attractions including Glenelg, the Adelaide Hills and Adelaide Central Market, helping promote South Australia beyond the tennis courts.

With affordable tickets, free qualifying rounds and a packed entertainment program, the 2027 Adelaide International is shaping up to be another major highlight of Adelaide’s summer calendar.
