I realise to some, this topic is taboo.
But here is my poem, it’s all about poo!
I think most people will tend to agree.
A very personal subject, our poo can be!
It’s a matter of privacy, some might say.
But I thought I’d write about poo anyway!
Passing a stool, a motion or a ‘number 2’
It’s just a natural thing, from birth we do!
I sat on the potty, for hours, very bored.
All that effort and noise, for no reward!
An empty potty…just a ring on my bum.
Another day of my potty training was done!
How to use the potty we eventually learn.
But later in lifel those nappies could return.
Far larger in size…but the same job to do.
A Godsend, when you can’t make the loo!
In work, to the ‘Bristol Scale’ I used to refer.
There are 7 types of poo, described on there.
Lots of useful info on the scale you will find.
Numbers 3 and 4 poos, are the normal kind.
If you’re out and about, or if you’re at home.
Wherever you are on the porcelain throne!
Check now and again at what’s floating below.
If it looks unhealthy…then let the Doctor know.
Doctors can learn an awful lot from our poo.
So, it makes sense, that we are clued up too.
Treat your poo, as a smelly but good friend!
And with that advice, my poem comes to an end.
