A mother accused of killing her husband and their three-year-old son at a popular US resort was found with deep cuts to her wrists and neck according top police who she allegedly told she was “suicidal, not stupid”.
The New York Post reported that Metallica Rose Harrison unleashed a bizarre rant during an emergency call to 911 on Monday, October 12, in which she admitted to murdering spouse Charles Harrison and their son T.H. at a holiday lodge in the Poconos and that she always strove to be “the best mother, the best wife”.
The Post reported from an affidavit obtained by WNEP that the 27-year-old told the 911 operator that “My husband and son are already gone in the bed in the living room” of their accommodation at Great Wolf Lodge. “They’re already gone, I’m sorry.”

Charles and T.H. were reportedly found with a number of stab wounds to the chest. Metallica Rose reportedly asked the 911 operator during their call for help in finding a vein in her neck to stab.
“To be the best person, the best mother, the best wife. It wasn’t supposed to end like this. I was supposed to have my happy family. That’s what I envisioned since I was a child,” she allegedly told the operator.
The affidavit claimed that Metallica Rose told police who arrived at the scene that she was “suicidal, not stupid”.
It also stated that she told ambulance officers that she was “not supposed to be here” and asked how deep her wrist vein was so she would “know for next time” as she was transported to hospital.
The twisted mother had stabbed both victims in the chest and attempted to puncture her own neck, police alleged in an affidavit.
A Monroe County District attorney said on Wednesday that there was no current risk to the public at Great Wolf Lodge.
“This was a violent domestic tragedy in which two people, a boy and his father, lost their lives,” the district attorney’s statement said.
Among the up to 90 pieces of evidence seized from Room 2030 in the Pennsylvania water park resort were two knives and containers that appeared to have blood inside them as well as bottles of medication. Great Wolf Lodge confirmed the blades were not from the resort.
Harrison is facing two charges of criminal homicide and remains in hospital.
The family of three’s checked into the water park resort on September 21 before extending their stay further on October 5, according to law enforcement.
