106-year-old Adelaide jeweller named finalist in 2026 Local Business Awards

A 106-year-old Adelaide family jeweller has been recognised for its long-standing craftsmanship and personalised approach, with Bell & Brunt named a finalist in the 2026 Greater Adelaide Local Business Awards.

The CBD jeweller was a finalist for Most Outstanding Jewellery Store, adding another accolade to a growing list of recognition for the South Australian business.

Established in Adelaide in 1920, Bell & Brunt has spent more than a century creating fine jewellery, with the family business continuing the traditional craft of designing and handmaking pieces in-house.

The business brings its designers, Master Jewellers and client-facing team together under one roof at its James Place studio, guiding clients through the process from the initial conversation and design through to selecting a diamond or gemstone, handmaking and collecting the finished piece.

Every custom piece is individually designed and handcrafted by the team using traditional bench techniques, premium precious metals and natural diamonds and gemstones.

“Exceptional jewellery is incredibly important to us, but what matters just as much is how people feel when they come to Bell & Brunt,” shared CEO and co-owner Cheri Brunt.

“Jewellery is so often connected to one of the most meaningful moments in someone’s life. We take the time to genuinely understand the person and what their jewellery means to them.”

The latest finalist recognition follows several recent milestones for the family business. Bell & Brunt was named Winner of Outstanding Jewellery Store at the 2025 Greater Adelaide Local Business Awards, before taking home the Jeweller category at the 2026 Australian Small Business Champion Awards.

Bell & Brunt specialises in custom-made engagement rings and wedding rings, bespoke jewellery, heirloom remodelling, restoration and jewellery care.

The business works exclusively with natural diamonds and gemstones and says it remains focused on combining traditional craftsmanship with a highly personalised client experience.

“That means exceptional craftsmanship, honest guidance, sharing our knowledge generously and finding ways to make every experience genuinely personal,” shared Cheri.
