There’s rumours Meghan Markle wants to narrate her husband Prince Harry’s documentary about his late mother Princess Diana, ahead of a potential release on the 30th anniversary of her death next year.
Although no documentary has been officially confirmed, News.24 is reporting the Duke of Sussex is in talks to produce a documentary about his late mother amid rumours it would be purchased by Netflix.
The report posits that Harry and Meghan could make up to £74 million ($142 million), citing Hollywood insiders, who labelled it a “big” deal.

“They are banking on it being a global phenomenon, first on the big screen and then streaming on TV,” one insider said.
“And it’s going to make a fortune for Harry, Meghan and their Archewell Production company.

“From this one project, it is even possible that in one shot they will earn more than the entire $142 million, five-year contract they signed with Netflix when they first arrived in America.”
It is believed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been in talks with Netflix since early 2025 about the documentary, according to The Daily Express.
In a stunning twist, Tom Sykes from The Royalist has flagged that Meghan, who has been married since 2019, could possibly be narrating the documentary.
“A very interesting rumour that I have been told is that Meghan wants to narrate Harry’s film about Diana,” Mr Sykes said with a laugh.
“Harry . . . sees parallels between his mother’s experience and his wife’s.”
However, Mr Sykes has warned Netflix against utilising Meghan’s talent for a documentary about Harry’s mother.
“I think Netflix has learnt the lesson about letting the talent have too much control,” Mr Sykes said.
“I don’t think that one will get much past the drawing board.”
The rumour comes just days after Princess Diana’s brother Earl Charles Spencer released a memoir titled Swan Song: Diana, My Sister.
