The Cleveland Browns will be putting an impressive streak on the line when they hit the field against the Steelers on Thursday.
The Cleveland Browns are currently gearing up for Thursday night’s home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in primetime. The Browns have been one of the biggest surprises of the young NFL season, currently sitting at 2-1 after recently dispatching the Carolina Panthers at home.
The Browns haven’t exactly been the standard of success in the NFL over the last several years, but one area where they have been consistently excellent is on Thursday Night Football.
In fact, ClutchPoints recently pointed out on X, formerly Twitter, that the Browns have won their last seven TNF games dating back to 2018, including a thrilling 2024 win over the Steelers during that timeframe.
They will look to keep that streak alive on Thursday night against a Pittsburgh team that finally saw its offense come to life last week against the Cincinnati Bengals, with Aaron Rodgers looking a bit more like the MVP version of himself in that game, and the Bengals’ defense reverting to its bad habits of yesteryear.
Meanwhile, the Browns have won two straight games, first upsetting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road before knocking off the Panthers in thrilling fashion last week, with Deshaun Watson turning back the clock down the stretch of that one to deliver a clutch touchdown in the closing moments.
Watson has been shaky at best overall so far this season, but he’ll have a chance to once again prove that head coach Todd Monken made the right decision in making him the starter with another good performance on Thursday.
In any case, the Steelers and Browns are slated to kick things off on Thursday at 8:15 pm ET from Cleveland.
