Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday announced that the INDIA bloc will launch a ‘Save Democracy’ march from October 2, protesting against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar amid the ongoing row over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Kharge made the announcement at an INDIA bloc leaders’ joint press briefing, where the opposition alliance also sought Kumar’s resignation and outlined the six-point decision taken by the grouping.
