The most exciting design news from September 2026

The change of seasons always introduces us to a host of new launches and collections, and September saw no exception to this rule.

Jardan, En Gold and GlobeWest all introduced outdoor collections inspired by the simplicity of Australian summer. Apple launched its first ever foldable phone. Georg Jensen welcomed new elevated home decor pieces. And, Bose reintroduced us to an old favourite, wired headphones.

Jardan’s new outdoor collection explored the warmth and character of outdoor living

Introducing Shoreline, the newest range of pieces from Australian design brand Jardan. Shoreline takes the brand’s signature love of colour and materiality to furnishings designed for al fresco living. With designs that are meant to move naturally around the way you entertain, Shoreline spans sofas, lounge chairs, dining tables and chairs, sun loungers and occasional pieces. Rachel Donath opens the doors to a new Melbourne flagship store

You’d be forgiven for thinking Rachel Donath’s new flagship store was actually a home, and this is exactly the intention. Set inside a double-fronted heritage building, this store has been designed to show Rachel Donath pieces in situ so visitors can experience what it’s like to style and live amongst the designs. Apple launched its new iPhone line-up

You would be hard pressed to have missed the news that Apple launched a foldable iPhone called the iPhone Duo. It also released new versions of the Pro and Pro Max – the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The punchy new features include an enhanced camera and fresh new colours.

 

Georg Jensen introduces us to Fold

Luxury design brand Georg Jensen has launched its latest decor collection. It’s called Fold, a selection of pieces that celebrate the simplistic elegance of craft and paper. From vases to napkin holders, Fold adds a refined twist for the aesthetically conscious.

 

Wired headphones are back – Bose launches noise cancelling wired headphones

Analogue is back. Bose has announced it is launching a new set of wired headphones. While wired headphones are still widely available, they often have outdated technical specs. But Bose’s new design comes with all the latest tech features you’d expect from your wireless set – including noise cancelling, premium sound, and styles aligned with current trends. Bose has also launched a set of wireless open ear headphones – the Bose Sport Open Earbuds – for those who live life on the move.

 

 

The Ferrari Luce arrives in Australia

Introducing Ferrari’s first fully electric model, and it’s just arrived in Australia. VIP previews were held through September and it is now available to view in Sydney for a limited time before beginning a tour of the East Coast. The first locally delivered samples will arrive late in 2027.

 

Lounge Lovers drops its spring campaign

Wilson & Dorset opens a flagship store in Bowral

More than your traditional retail front, Wilson & Dorset’s new Bowral flagship is all about warmth and tactility. It draws on the work of Belgian designer Axel Vervoordt, with interiors that combine vintage pieces with contemporary Scandi design principles.
