Elaborate security protocols and barricades have been put in place outside Coimbatore Airport ahead of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph C. Vijay’s arrival. The Chief Minister is scheduled to embark on a roadshow from Coimbatore through Tirupur to Dharapuram to campaign for Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam candidate Satyabama. Satyabama, a former AIADMK MLA who defected after the 2026 assembly elections, is contesting the upcoming Dharapuram by-election scheduled for October 6. Police authorities have marked designated red zones and erected barricades along the route to manage large crowds and prevent untoward incidents as campaigning intensifies across Dharapuram and Madurantakam constituencies.
