Trailblazing Darwin rapper Yung Milla has been crowned the winner of The Voice 2026.
Throughout the competition, Yung Milla captured the hearts of viewers across the nation with his authenticity, powerful storytelling and unwavering commitment to representing his culture and community.
“I came here as a rapper from Darwin to share my story, my struggles, things that happen where I’m from and reach different audiences around Australia. Now I’m at the grand finale,” he said.

“I just can’t believe it. I’m just so grateful.”
For his final solo performance, Yung Milla delivered a powerful rendition of Tupac’s Changes, a song he described as representing everything he stands for.
His coach — former Spice Girl Melanie C — was almost as emotional as Yung Milla himself.
“I think I’ve run out of words,” she said. “You know you’ve affected me. Obviously, everybody who’s been in a room with you, everybody at home. I’m just so proud. You did this.
“I think you being on this show has changed what The Voice means. Historically, we’ve always thought of a big singer, but it’s about having a voice and using it very powerfully.”
He later joined Melanie C for a special performance of her 1999 hit Never Be The Same Again, bringing his remarkable journey full circle.
“I’m a Black boy from Darwin and now I’m on The Voice grand finale singing with Melanie C,” he said.
Yung Milla won $100,000 in prizemoney and an all-inclusive recording development package, including production, recording, mixing, mastering and access to Australia’s leading A&R and label services.
