Rookie tight end Eli Raridon did not participate at practice Thursday, according to the team’s injury report.
Raridon was a limited participant on Wednesday before missing Thursday’s practice. He is dealing with a thigh injury.
Through two games, Raridion is the only Patriots pass-catcher with a touchdown catch. He also had a 30-yard catch on Sunday against the Steelers. Cameron Latu, whom the Patriots signed a several weeks ago, played 11 snaps at tight end against Pittsburgh. Rookie tight-end Tanner Arkin was inactive last week.
Safety Craig Woodson (shoulder), edge rusher Dre’Mont Jones (shoulder), and Quintayvious Hutchins (knee) all missed practice for the second consecutive day on Thursday.
The Patriots acquired safety Jaylen Reed in the trade that sent Kayshon Boutte to the Texans. Defensive coordinator Zak Kuhr said he liked how Reed and Mike Brown have practiced this week.
Offensive tackle Dametrious Crownover returned to full participation on Thursday.
Carlton Davis was a full participant for the second straight practice after recovering from a neck injury.
Defensive tackle Daquan Jones, who was absent on Wednesday due to personal reasons returned to action Thursday as a full participant.
Safety Brenden Schooler (back) was limited. Offensive tackle Morgan Moses (foot) and fullback Reggie Gilliam (knee) were also limited.
New England placed offensive tackle Mike Onwenu and safety Dell Pettus on injured reserve earlier this week.
The Patriots have one more practice scheduled Friday before heading to Jacksonville for a game against the Jaguars.
