We’ve already got our savings piled up for the mammoth slate of music tours happening across Australia in 2027. Just last week we had teasers pop up about Hayley Williams shows, and now there’s another major music tour announcement ready to shakedown the wallets of zillenials around the country: The Strokes.
It started off as nothing more than rumours, but now we have confirmation that the cult New York indie rockers are heading to Australia in 2027. Prepare yourself with everything we know, below.
When and where are The Strokes touring?
There are four shows in three cities lined up. They are:
- Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Saturday 13 February
- Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 February
- Sydney Summertime at Centennial Park in Sydney on Saturday 20 February
How can I get tickets?
Now to the important bit, and luckily, you’ll have a few chances to secure tickets.
There’s an artist presale scheduled for Monday 28 September at 9am AEST. This will run until Tuesday 29 September at 12pm AEST (unless sold out earlier).
There’s also a Mastercard cardholders presale from Monday 28 September at 9am AEST until Tuesday 29 September at 12pm AEST. They will also have access to preferred tickets when the general sale starts. More details are available here.

Secret Sounds will host a presale from Monday 28 September at 12pm until Tuesday 29 September at 12pm. You’ll need to register here.

After these presales, tickets go on sale to the general public on Tuesday 29 September at 1pm local time.
Tour announcements were just spotted in Brisbane
Prior to the tour confirmation, a Reddit user posted to the site just 16 hours ago about some digital signage they spotted in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley overnight. The signs clearly say ‘Reality Awaits Australia 2027’ in the exact font of the band’s new album Reality Awaits.

Albert Hammond Jr. hinted at an imminent return
Another hint came courtesy of Instagram, where the band’s longtime bassist Albert Hammond Jr. told fans that they would be ‘Back Soon’ after the band co-headlined last year’s Harvest Rock Festival in Adelaide.
