Grab your wand and head back to Hogwarts this fall when “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” in Concert comes to Marian Anderson Hall at the Kimmel Center from Oct. 16-18.
During each performance, the third Harry Potter movie will be shown in high definition on the big screen while The Philadelphia Orchestra performs John Williams’ score live.
The concert pairs the complete film with its original music, turning a familiar movie night into a nearly three-hour orchestral experience.
Released in 2004, “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” follows Harry’s third year at Hogwarts after Sirius Black escapes from the wizarding prison of Azkaban. The third movie in the series also introduces Dementors, the Marauder’s Map and the Patronus Charm to the films.

Those moments will unfold on screen with Williams’ music performed live inside Marian Anderson Hall. The movie runs approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes, and the full concert is expected to last about three hours including an intermission.
Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16; 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17; and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18. Tickets currently cost $56 to $146, including fees.
