In the North
beneath the birch trees
where cool winds wander
and rain sinks softly
into the moss
lilies bloom
small white bells
pale as morning
trembling with dew
They call to the earth
in the quiet of the valley
while thrushes sing
among the branches
and the wind moves slowly
through the leaves
