The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) have confirmed a number of fixture changes ahead of the upcoming 2026/27 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
The fixtures in question are Adelaide United v Brisbane Roar, a game initially scheduled to take place on the opening weekend of the new season, as well as Wellington Phoenix’s home game against Adelaide United, initially slated for Sunday, November 29.

Adelaide United v Brisbane Roar
Following consultation in recent days, and in accordance with the APL Fixture Change Policy relative to AFC Club Competitions, Adelaide United’s Round 1 fixture against Brisbane Roar has been officially rescheduled.
The match, originally scheduled for Sunday, 18 October 2026, will now be played on Tuesday, 15 December 2026 at Coopers Stadium, with kick-off at 7:00pm ACDT.
With the fixture change now confirmed, tickets for the rescheduled match are available to purchase now.
The change means Adelaide United’s first home game of the 2026/27 A-League season will now be the Original Rivalry against Melbourne Victory in Round 4.
Wellington Phoenix v Adelaide United
The Wellington Phoenix’s home game against Adelaide United has been pushed back a week.
The Nix were due to take on Adelaide at Hnry Stadium on Sunday, November 29th at 3pm.
However, due to Adelaide’s commitments in the AFC Champions League Two, the fixture has been moved to Sunday, December 6th at 3pm, still at Hnry Stadium.
The change means that the Wellington Phoenix men will now have a bye in matchweek 6 during the weekend of November 27-29th.
A ticket deal is available for the season-opening double-header at Hnry Stadium on Sunday, October 18, with two thousand tickets available for just $20 for an adult.
General tickets for all men’s and women’s games this season will go on sale next Tuesday (September 8), but memberships are available now.
