Teenager Stan Moody knocked four-time champion John Higgins out of the British Open with a 4-2 victory in the last 16.
The 19-year-old progressed to the quarter-finals for the second successive year thanks to a strong finish in Cheltenham.
English youngster Moody went 1-0 and 2-1 up, with Higgins, 51, going on to level on each occasion.
A break of 46 nudged Moody 3-2 ahead, before a clearance of 69 with a finish on the black in frame six completed the win, after Scottish veteran Higgins had led 61-0.
Halifax-born Moody will move on to face fellow Englishman Liam Highfield in the quarter-finals.
Judd Trump breezed through to the next round by beating David Gilbert 4-0, firing breaks of 118 and 105 in the final two frames.
Cheltenham’s Jack Lisowski triumphed 4-1 over Lyu Haotian and will face Mark Selby on Friday after four-time world champion Selby got past Ukraine’s Iulian Boiko 4-2.
Wales’ Jak Jones defeated Latvian Artemus Zizins 4-2, while Northern Ireland’s Aaron Hill and Stoke’s Highfield got past Chinese duo Fan Zhengyi and Long Zehuang with respective 4-0 and 4-1 victories.
