ABC sends comedians back to school in comedy CLASS CLOWNS

The new series, from Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia, will see six comedians divided into three houses as they battle through a series of school-inspired challenges for points, bragging rights and the coveted Class Clowns Cup.

The six comedians taking part are Bron Lewis, Luke McGregor, Becky Lucas, Matt Okine, Nina Oyama and Dave Hughes, who will compete as part of the Redbacks, Cane Toads and Bin Chickens.

Under the watchful eye of Principal Morris, the comedians will face a range of challenges based around school subjects including Biology, Drama, Mathematics, Geography, Gymnastics and Physics, with each assignment offering the chance to earn house points.

The first-look footage gives a taste of what’s to come, with the comedians tackling classroom questions that quickly prove harder than they appear. Even a simple maths question about the radius of a 12-inch pizza prompts a spirited debate over crusts, circumference and, inevitably, pizza.

Tom Rohr is WBITVP Executive Producer, with Johnny Lowry as WBITVP Head of Original Content. ABC Executive Producer Zoe Norton-Lodge and Head of Entertainment Rachel Millar also serve on the production.

The series is produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia for the ABC.
