An Adelaide community has come together over brunch to raise an incredible $20,128 for cancer research and support families affected by the disease.
Hosted by Nancy Timpano and Vince Fusco from the LiViN Podcast, this year’s Brunch with LiViN formed part of The Longest Table, an annual fundraising campaign supporting The Hospital Research Foundation Group’s fight against cancer.

Held at Café Di Roma in Prospect, the three-hour event brought guests together for an afternoon of food, conversation, laughter and generosity, reflecting the podcast’s focus on family, friendship and meaningful connections.
Funds were raised through ticket sales, raffle tickets, a silent auction and a wine wall, with the final total reaching $20,128.
The event was supported by Café Di Roma owners Lina and Tony Carpentieri, who provided the venue and catering at no cost. This meant every dollar raised through the brunch could go directly to The Hospital Research Foundation Group.
Their support reflected the café’s motto, “Let our family take care of yours,” which also became the guiding theme for the event.
“We wanted the day to feel like family, because that’s what The Longest Table is all about,” Nancy said.
“Café Di Roma’s motto is ‘Let our family take care of yours’, and that’s exactly what they did. Full hearts, full bellies and meaningful connections.”
Vince said the event’s success came down to the many guests, businesses and community members who supported the fundraiser.
“While the food brought people to the table, it was the generosity of the community that made the day truly special,” he said.
The $20,128 raised will support The Hospital Research Foundation Group’s #ForkCancer campaign, funding cancer research and initiatives designed to improve care for people affected by the disease.
