Swaraa Lodha and Shashwat’s wedding unfolded as a thoughtfully curated celebration where every event reflected a distinct personality while seamlessly flowing into the next. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Rising Events and designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Design HQ, the multi-day celebration struck a fine balance between heritage-inspired aesthetics and contemporary elegance. Every venue was transformed into an immersive experience, with each celebration carrying its own visual identity while remaining connected through a refined design language.
Reflecting on the vision, Kinjal Adodra of Design HQ shares, “We aimed to create spaces that felt deeply personal while remaining timeless. Every celebration was designed to evoke a distinct emotion, allowing the décor to become an extension of the couple’s story rather than simply a backdrop.”
The festivities began with the Myra ceremony, envisioned as a joyous tribute to family, blessings, and togetherness. Inspired by the enduring beauty of Rajasthani architecture, the setting featured intricate jali patterns, scalloped arches, and a soft palette of blush pink, lilac, marigold yellow, and ivory. A grand floral installation transformed the sweeping staircase into a spectacular ceremonial entrance, while the stage brought together traditional architectural elements with contemporary pastel detailing. The result was a warm and welcoming setting that celebrated heritage with understated sophistication.
The celebrations then shifted gears with a Retro Night that captured the romance of vintage soirées. Rich burgundy hues, antique gold accents, and layered jali-inspired details created an intimate atmosphere that felt nostalgic without being theatrical. Flickering candlelight, elegant arches, and plush lounge settings added warmth to the evening, while the stage reimagined the grandeur of a classic durbar through a contemporary lens. The evening unfolded with timeless charm, offering guests a setting where music and celebration took centre stage.
For the Mehendi, Design HQ drew inspiration from the charm of an Indian summer garden. Delicate shades of blush pink, butter yellow, lilac, and powder blue came together against Mughal-inspired motifs, creating a fresh and joyful atmosphere. Cascading floral installations, lush blooms, and thoughtfully styled lounges softened the space, while handcrafted details and pastel accents added a modern touch. Every corner felt inviting, evoking the effortless beauty of a blooming courtyard in spring.
The Sangeet embraced the glamour of a vintage Art Deco theatre, setting the tone for an evening of spectacular performances. Rich burgundy drapery, illuminated arches, crystal chandeliers, and bold geometric detailing created a dramatic visual narrative inspired by the golden age of cinema. The striking stage became the evening’s focal point, where layered lighting and theatrical design transformed every performance into an unforgettable show. Kinjal Adodra notes, “The Sangeet was imagined as an immersive performance space where lighting, architecture, and décor came together to create the excitement and glamour of a classic theatre.”
One of the most personal celebrations was the Book Fest, aptly named Akshar Swar, inspired by the bride’s family of passionate readers and her father, an acclaimed Hindi poet and writer. The concept cleverly blended the words Akshar and Swar, paying tribute to literature while celebrating Swaraa herself. Oversized books, manuscripts, and literary-inspired installations transformed the venue into an imaginative world where stories came alive. The design drew inspiration from the iconic blue hues of Jodhpur, while excerpts from celebrated writers and poets, including Surinder Sharma, Ashok Chakradhar, Ayn Rand, and Dan Brown, added depth to the experience. Engage with the celebration, Despite being the only event where it poured like crazy, the team had a Plan B in place and turned things around swiftly, ensuring the celebrations continued seamlessly and making the experience as meaningful as it was memorable.
The celebrations culminated with a wedding that embraced timeless Indian grandeur while allowing the majestic architecture of Umaid Bhawan Palace to take centre stage. An elegant palette of ivory, soft greens, antique gold, and warm candlelight complemented the venue’s regal beauty with quiet restraint. The pristine white mandap, adorned with cascading floral garlands and delicate crystal drapery, became the heart of the celebration. Layered foliage, sculptural florals, and impeccable craftsmanship created an ethereal setting that felt serene yet deeply rooted in tradition. Speaking about the final celebration, Kinjal Adodra shares, “The wedding was designed around the philosophy of quiet luxury. By embracing restraint and allowing the palace and the rituals to remain the heroes, we created a setting that felt timeless, intimate, and deeply meaningful.”
