Netflix has unveiled its upcoming film slate, with Brisbane-based Ludo Studio’s Allen among the new titles and the first teaser now released.
The feature film from the studio behind Bluey stars T.J. Power, Charlotte Nicdao, Josh Helman, Emily Barclay and Benedict Hardie, and was filmed across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Allen follows Petey, who is reunited with his best friend Allen 20 years after losing him, with the film combining comedy and drama in a story about friendship, loss and adventure.

Directed by Daley Pearson and Jeffrey Walker, the film was written by Pearson and Sophie Miller, with Ludo Studio’s Sam Moor and Ross Allsop serving as producers.
Allen will premiere on Netflix in November, with the first teaser available to watch in the player below.
The film is part of Netflix’s upcoming slate of new movies arriving on the streaming service later this year.
Also coming to Netflix are Ben Affleck thriller Animals, Peter Berg’s Queensland-filmed World War II drama The Mosquito Bowl and Possible Love, the first film from acclaimed director Lee Chang-dong in eight years.
The slate also includes Danny Boyle’s Ink, Cameron Diaz comedy Bad Day, Ava DuVernay documentary 14th and animated feature Steps.
Netflix is also preparing a new film from David Fincher that will see Brad Pitt return as Cliff Booth, the character he played in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, although the new story is set in 1977.
