Police are still looking to locate the driver who seriously injured a pedestrian in Medford, Medford police said.
A pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries in a hit-and-run in Medford Wednesday morning, police said.
At approximately 5:30 a.m., Medford police received a report of a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian, the department said in a Facebook post.
Officers who responded found the pedestrian at the intersection of Harvard and Winchester Street, police said. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the pedestrian was walking westbound on Harvard Street and crossing in the crosswalk on Winchester Street when they were struck by a vehicle turning left from Harvard Street onto Winchester around 5:20 a.m., the department said.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, described the vehicle as a dark-colored four-door sedan, according to police.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing, police said. Medford police is asking local businesses and residents to review surveillance cameras to see if they captured footage of the vehicle on Harvard Street or Winchester Street before or after the crash.
