Network 10’s Darwin sales operation is being transferred to the Seven Darwin sales team, with local staff understood to have lost their roles as part of the move.
TV Blackbox understands the local sales operation has been wound down, with responsibility for Network 10 sales representation in Darwin shifting to the Seven Darwin sales team.
Southern Cross Media Group has confirmed the change, while stating that broadcasting operations for Network 10 programming will remain unchanged.

A spokesperson for Southern Cross Media Group said: “Responsibility for Network 10 sales representation in Darwin has transitioned to the Seven Darwin sales team. Broadcasting operations for Network 10 programming will remain unchanged, with Darwin viewers continuing to enjoy uninterrupted access to local services and content.”
While the company declined to comment on individual employment arrangements, it said it had been working closely with the local sales team throughout the transition and wished them “all the best in their next chapter”.
The change comes after warnings earlier this year that Network 10’s Darwin service could be at risk, with WIN CEO Andrew Lancaster indicating in May that unprofitable Network 10 services in Darwin and regional Western Australia were likely to stop broadcasting within six months.
Network 10’s regional footprint has faced broader uncertainty this year, with WIN previously announcing plans to end Network 10 broadcasts in the Riverland, Mount Gambier and Griffith before a three-month reprieve was agreed while WIN and Paramount continued negotiations.
Mildura has already lost its Network 10 free-to-air service, following the closure of Mildura Digital Television in 2024.
The Darwin operation is jointly owned by WIN Corporation and Southern Cross Media Group, with WIN acquiring Nine’s 50% interest in Darwin Digital Television earlier this year as part of its acquisition of Nine’s Darwin television business.
