Scott Pendlebury has made an early exit from Collingwood’s clash with Brisbane with a knee issue, in a concerning moment for the Magpies ahead of the AFL wildcard round.
The Magpies chose not to rest any of their big guns in the clash with Brisbane, despite being locked in to an MCG wildcard game next week.
Pendlebury, 38, started the game strongly but went down into Collingwood’s rooms in the second quarter and was later ruled out of the game before halftime.

The Magpies then confirmed Pendlebury was dealing with a knee bursa issue.
Bursae are fluid-filled sacs around the knee that can become inflamed.
It is unsure how serious Pendlebury’s knee issue is, or if it would put him in doubt for the wildcard round.
But at the very least, Collingwood could be sweating over the availability of the veteran, who is yet to sign on for next year.
Collingwood will desperately hope the classy veteran is available for the wildcard match, which will be against either the Western Bulldogs or Carlton, depending on other results.
At halftime, Brisbane, chasing a top-four berth, led 10.3 (63) to 6.5 (41), with young Lions star Logan Morris kicking four goals.
