Tottenham have reached an agreement for Manchester City star Savinho as Spurs’ spending this summer passes £300million.

Spurs are understood to have struck a deal worth £75million for the Brazilian, rising to over £85million in add-ons.

City only forked out £30.8million for the winger from Troyes in 2024, which is owned by the City Football Group.

The 22-year-old has struggled for minutes at the Etihad Stadium, only scoring a couple of goals in his 53 Premier League games.

He is now set for a move away, being given the go-ahead to complete his Spurs medical, according to football journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Tottenham are also in advanced talks to sign the Brazilian’s teammate, Omar Marmoush.

The Egyptian has had a hard time getting on the pitch, with Erling Haaland in front of the forward.

Spurs are reportedly confident the deal will get done after personal terms were agreed between the player and the club.

With the signing of Savinho, Tottenham have now forked out over £310million so far this summer in a significant rebuild of the squad.

Sandro Tonali has been their most expensive transfer, after Spurs forked out £100million for the Italian from Newcastle.

Portugal’s Mateus Fernandes has joined from West Ham following the Hammers’ relegation, with Tottenham once again splashing the cash, paying £85million.

Jan Paul van Hecke is their other marquee signing who wasn’t a free transfer, joining from Brighton for £52million.

Former Bournemouth centre-back and World Cup finalist Marcos Senesi has joined on a free, as has Liverpool legend Andy Robertson.

Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi is very confident for the upcoming campaign, feeling his side will eventually be able to compete at “the top of the Premier League”.

When asked by TNT Sports what his main aim at Tottenham is, he said: “To bring the club – not alone, but together with the players, the board, everyone who works inside Tottenham – to the top of the Premier League.

“Obviously, it’s very tough to win the trophy. But we are Tottenham, and we have to arrive at the right moment to fight, to compete, to win the trophy – because the history of this club, the potential of our owner and our board, is very high.”

Spurs’ club captain Cristian Romero has departed for Spain, joining Atletico Madrid for £34.2million.

Addressing who will step in and wear the armband, De Zerbi said: “I have an idea, but I want to speak with the players before the press.

“[Micky] Van de Ven, Pedro Porro, [James] Maddison. There are a lot of important players, but more than that, I think the quality of the person decides who is captain.

“I think it can be important for a lot of players to take more responsibility – especially Van de Ven, because he’s a potential top [player]; maybe he’s already top. But I think he can become better in personality and leadership.”
