With another Logies in the rear view mirror, Steve Moik is joined by Mark Humphries to reflect on Australian television’s night of nights.
Mark and Molk share their impressions of the event, now it its 66th year. There’s lots to discuss, including the results of the Top 70 Australian shows (as voted by the Australian public), Robert Irwin’s tilt at hosting (including his dancing in the opener and later in the night), the dignity of the In Memoriam (and how many people were sadly on the list), the Hall of Fame inductees (Deborah Mailman, A Country Practice, and Andrew Denton), and Sam Pang winning the Gold Logie.
Hosting the Logies is one of the toughest gigs in Australian television, and both Mark and Molk have particular views about how it all went. Mark also shares an excellent anecdote shared with him by Ray Martin from a Logies many, many years ago…
