The support of Mansour bin Zayed consolidates the presence of the Prestigious Cup at the world’s greatest racecourses.
With the support of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, the historic Newbury Racecourse in the United Kingdom hosts the UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses tomorrow, Friday 14 August, within the calendar of the 33rd edition. It marks the Prestigious Cup’s first ever appearance at this celebrated British course.
The Cup series is staged in support of plans to develop the Arabian horse racing industry and to sustain the backing of owners and breeders around the world, encouraging them to acquire and breed Arabian horses. This work helps preserve the breed’s authentic heritage, elevate its standing and strengthen its presence at the most significant international festivals and racecourses.
The United Kingdom leg carries particular significance within the current edition, with the Cup race staged for the first time at Newbury, a course founded in 1905. Newbury now joins the list of leading global venues to have hosted races in the series, alongside ParisLongchamp, Churchill Downs, Doncaster and San Siro, reflecting the standing the Prestigious Cup has attained and the success of its partnerships with the most important international racecourses and festivals.

TWO BRITISH LEGS
Newbury is the first of two United Kingdom legs within the 33rd edition’s agenda. Doncaster Racecourse will host the second on 12 September, staged within the historic St Leger Festival.
