At Vogue Café, a butter croissant was impossible to eat discreetly, its crisp shell giving way at first touch and scattering flakes over clothes chosen with considerable care. Across the long table, coffee orders competed with conversations as guests paused between appointments and masterclasses at Vogue Wedding Atelier. The espresso machine hissed from the counter, the scent of tuberose filled the room and rain softened the daylight through the windows.
Vogue Café made its India debut during Vogue Wedding Atelier 2026 at Taj Palace, New Delhi, from August 7 to 9, following editions in London, Milan, Paris and New York. Guests came in between appointments with couturiers and jewellers, found friends already seated and began comparing notes on what they had seen. As the day progressed, coffee cups gathered beside open books and introductions multiplied across the room.
Among those using the café as a meeting point were cover stars Gauravi Kumari and Sara Tendulkar, along with Manish Malhotra, Anita Dongre, Rahul Mishra, Kunal Rawal, Gaurav Gupta and Falguni and Shane Peacock. Designers and attendees met away from the appointment desk, allowing a discussion about embroidery or a second look at a lehenga to continue over coffee and crossaints.
Jaipur Rugs lay beneath the tables, with chairs from Freedom Tree drawn around them and arrangements by Farmerr Florals filling the room with hydrangeas, roses and tuberose. Viya’s Rivoli candleholders, floor lamp and tutti frutti vessel brought in colour, while metallic vessels and cocktail tables from Ravi Vazirani Design Studio served as accents across the space. Pottery Barn’s terracotta vases and antique-brass bowl sat comfortably within the mix, and Siddharth Dhariwal’s green-and-brass Euphoria lamp warmed up the room as the daylight dimmed.
