HBO Max has offered a first glimpse at its upcoming legal drama WAR, with Dominic West and Sienna Miller leading the cast in the new HBO and Sky Original series.
Set against the backdrop of London’s most powerful law firms, the series follows a headline grabbing celebrity divorce where ambition, betrayal and winning at any cost become the order of the day.

HBO has released the first teaser and images for season one of HBO and Sky Original legal drama series War, debuting Friday, 2 October, only on HBO Max. Created by George Kay (Lupin, Hijack) and starring Dominic West and Sienna Miller, the series is co-produced by New Pictures and Observatory Pictures with new episodes of the eight-episode season debuting weekly on Fridays.
War is a high-stakes legal drama following the lives of London’s most powerful lawyers as firms Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne clash over a headline-grabbing legal battle, drawing ambitious young lawyer Jonathan “Johnny” Warren (Archie Renaux) into a ruthless world where ambition is currency, betrayal is strategy and winning is everything.
Season one follows the explosive divorce of British tech entrepreneur Morgan Henderson (West) and international film star Carla Duval (Miller) as Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne stop at nothing to secure victory for their clients.

War will air on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max in the U.S., Australia, Southeast Asia, Latin America, France and Belgium.
War is co-produced by New Pictures (a Banijay company) and Observatory Pictures, in association with Sky and HBO. The series is created, written and executive produced by George Kay, alongside executive producers Willow Grylls and Matt Sandford for New Pictures, Susan Breen, Ben Taylor, Andrea Dewsbury and Megan Spanjian for Sky. The lead director is Ben Taylor and the series producer is Laurie Borg.
The series has been greenlit with a two-season order from HBO and Sky and is currently in production on season two. Marisa Tomei, Kelly Macdonald and David Harewood will star in the next headline-making legal battle, as their lawyers become embroiled in an explosive defamation case.
The HBO and Sky Original legal drama series War debuts Friday, 2 October on HBO Max Australia.
