The Cleveland Browns are currently taking part in training camp as they gear up for the 2026 NFL season. The Browns’ offseason was headlined by the blockbuster trade of Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams, which brought back Jared Verse and a haul of draft assets in return.
Recently, Verse revealed some of the advice he got from fellow NFL defensive stars as he embarks on this new chapter of his career.
“Jared Verse told NFL Network he spoke a lot with Maxx Crosby and Von Miller this offseason. They told him his power is the best in the NFL and that he needs to find things to work off of using that. They showed him different moves and techniques off that bull rush,” reported James Palmer of Bleacher Report on X, formerly Twitter.
Verse had established himself as a young defensive star for the Rams over the last few years, but the team could not pass up the opportunity to trade for arguably the game’s best player in Garrett, who set the sack record for the Browns this past season. Still, Verse’s youth and potential growth make him a worthy centerpiece for a deal involving a player of Garrett’s caliber.
Not many pundits expect the Browns to be very competitive this year in their first year under new head coach Todd Monken. Question number one for the Browns is figuring out who their starting quarterback will be, as Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson compete for the job at training camp.
The Browns are slated to get their new season underway on September 13 with a road game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
