Hyderabad
The United Muslim Forum (UMF), a panel of religious leaders, on Friday, announced its support to the demonstrations against the NEET paper leak and condemned the alleged use of force against protesters by Delhi Police.
In a statement, the UMF said that the BJP-led Union government had weakened the education system which saw repeated exam paper leaks. The party could not address issues of unemployment, corruption, and economic distress, they added. The protests were being met with excessive force instead of constructive engagement, they opined.
The panel also urged people across communities to work towards upholding constitutional values, communal harmony and the rule of law.
Touching upon the ongoing Special Intensive Revision exercise, the UMF appealed to the public to cooperate with the Election Commission.
