There’s no better excuse to refine our living spaces than the middle of an Australian winter. From custom decanters for late-night pasta dinners to the coffee table books and plush textiles keeping us grounded indoors, our wishlists are leaning heavily into home comfort right now. Below, see what the RUSSH editors are buying, bookmarking, and dreaming about for July.

My newest prized possession is a baby Rolled Rim bowl from Softedge Studios in their new Mustard colourway. I’ve also come into possession of some Golden Groves Olive Oil, which I’ve been dying to pair with some vanilla ice cream and flaky sea salt.
I’ve also nearly come to the end of my current Refillable Journal Notebook Insert B7 from Studio Milligram and am going to have to re-up. In tandem, I’m nearly out of ink on my fave pen too – the MUJI Gel Ink Ballpoint in Black. Our former art director picked this off my desk recently to tell me it was also her all-time favourite pen. Shows the kind of people we are that have favourite pen brands.
And finally, what’s really spearheading my shopping list is a new set of pillowcases. I’m a sucker for a super-soft cotton – and these Crisp White King Pillowcases from Bed Threads are probably the way I’ll err.

In the bleak midwinter I really become a hermit and like to spend long evenings in with my tribe, so I’m all about hospitality at home at the moment. I want to keep crème fraîche in this beautiful shell to spoon onto home made blinis, share Perrier Jouet Belle Epoch with loved ones, and have the new Kim Gordon record, Play Me, spinning in the background.
I’m becoming very scent-centric and candles really do make my house feel warmer. As such, I have been adoring the sensual sweetness of Tom Ford’s Vanilla Sex, and the lunar, powdery magic of BKD’s Pleine Lune. Those who know me are aware of my (verging on unhealthy) obsession with all things oyster, so this silver holder with some Aēsop Murasaki incense are on my list.
In my never ending quest for warmth (and hiding of ugly tiles), I’m coveting the Jamie washable rug for my kitchen. I want to soften the space whilst being practical knowing that I am a passionate yet clumsy cook. There are rumours in our house of a potential new sofa, and in my fantasy I would have this ridiculously wonderfully whimsical pink Edra Cipira Sofa. However, we always need a sofa bed for overseas family and friends, so the Stratten in Avignon Sage Velvet, would be vastly more practical and still very beautiful.

The chill has finally reached us in rural NSW, so I have been enamoured with dreamy sheets, blankets and towels this month. To add to my linen cupboard, I was graciously gifted some of the new Cotton Lyocell Blend towels from Hommey. They are the nicest towels I own and feel very luxurious. My favourites shades are Smoke and Maple.
I’ve been doing all I can to stay hydrated with the heater on at home all the time, and this Maison Balzac Madame Pomponette carafe is a chic way to keep water within reach on my nightstand. For hot water, this Le Creuset ombré-effect teapot has been on my wishlist for a little while. It would make a great Father’s Day or Christmas gift – for anyone getting in early.
On the home appliance side, I recently purchased the Dyson G1 floor mop while it was on sale for EOFY (it’s still on sale at some retailers). My family has one, and safe to say after borrowing it a couple times, I had to pick one up for myself. I need to replace my clothes steamer for one that is more lightweight and portable. This Philips Handheld Steamer with portable ironing mat is in my cart.
Organisation for the second half of the year is now made a bit easier with this chic RUSSH 2026 calendar. And lastly, I’m on the hunt for some meaningful artwork for my new home. This “Both Ends” Painting by Pez Art, Australia looks amazing.

For the home, I’m still looking to purchase a new rug for my living room. This rug from Double is particularly appealing as it’s made from repurposed bottles and post-consumer waste. It’s also machine washable. No coffee table is complete without our latest issue ‘Noise and Disorder’ as well as some Aesop room spray.
I’ve also spent a lot of time this winter hosting and entertaining so these serving spoons from Maison Balzac are high on my wishlist.

I have just begun putting together my bridal registry, so to say that my homewares wishlist is long is an understatement. I won’t bore you with the intricacies of which spatulas and cheese grater I chose, so will stick to the fun stuff. Firstly, I can’t get enough of the very new Tefal Excellence+ Induction FusionCore Non-Stick Frypan collection. It’s the French brand’s new completely scratchproof, non-stick range and I can’t wait to cook the crispiest fried egg with it. A personal wishlist item that unfortunately can’t be justified on the bridal registry is a new jewellery box, and I have long coveted these custom ones from Srla. They are just as much form as they are function and I love that I could keep this on my dresser instead of hiding it away in a cupboard.
My partner and I have also excitedly just joined the Eight Sleep community after desperately wanting to try the Pod for so long and can’t wait to see how it improves my sleep. It has only been a couple of days now, but I am already hooked. Onto other bed items, I am in the market for a new bed frame, and am going to place the Ronan Bed from McMullin and Co on preorder. I love the texture but also how soft it is, and after having a metal bed frame for the last 10 years, I’m ready for a change.

I don’t think there’s anything more chic than Bottega Veneta playing cards, except maybe their shoe horn with the most beautiful zebu horn and Intrecciato strap. On a more practical note, I’m currently in desperate need of a coffee knock box to contain the grounds in my kitchen, so this Smeg one is high on my July wishlist.
The amount of magazines in my apartment is getting quite extreme, so this magazine holder will hopefully stem the flow of what keeps accumulating. Coffee table books are always a must for me, and Icons by Oscar Abolafia feels especially appropriate right now. To round things out, this Gentle Habits incense holder will elevate any nook I place it in, and I am completely in love with these turtle and stingray prints from Merrepen Arts.

This RIEDEL decanter is as much a work of art as it is a wine vessel, and perfect as I’ve been hosting a few wine and pasta nights this winter. Speaking of wine, whilst not explicitly a homeware, the Bin 389 X Troye Sivan by Penfolds is high on my list of wines to add to my cellar.
The relentless Sydney rain has me leaning into cosiness, and a rug such as this one from Armadillo is a simple way to add warmth to a space. In the most elegant solution to a very practical problem, my front door handle recently fell off, and an entry handles from Lo & Co is exactly the upgrade I’ve been looking for.

I finally found the coasters I’ve been looking for in stock at Net-a-Porter. I’ve had them on my wishlist for two months. I think they’ll make for perfect coffee-table styling. Speaking of coffee-table styling, I’ve been layering my coffee table books at the moment and my copy of Try To Catch It is at the very top. M y new love of stainless steel and chrome means this fruit bowl is certainly on my wishlist. As someone who is always looking for ways to improve my sleep, this pillow and room spray is one of my new favourites. The smell is so wonderfully comforting.
I was kindly gifted this blanket from Waverley Mills and I’m obsessed. It’s so soft and warm. It’s the perfect throw to keep on your bed in winter. I’m not in the market for a new coffee table, but if I was, this would be on my moodboard for sure. I adore the rich, earthy tone.

I’ve been on the hunt for a living room side table that’s both ergonomic and elevates a space. This one from Design by Them is exactly what I’ve been looking for – it tucks neatly under the sofa so you can keep a coffee close by without sacrificing space. I’ve also been fawning over this wool blanket from Lee Mathews. Aside from keeping me warm, I know it would add a softness to the living room.
The brass bottle opening from Cadeau Studios is one of those everyday objects that is worth investing in, and speaking of, I’m in desperate need for a winter restock of my favourite bottles from Winona Wines. This textured carafe from Firm Living is so appealing because of its sculptural shape, and I absolutely don’t need another drink bottle, but the Hello Kitty collaboration with Frank Green is far too cute to resist.
