Boston sports radio station WEEI (93.7-FM) will soon be available on SiriusXM satellite radio.
Audacy, WEEI’s parent company, and SiriusXM announced a partnership Tuesday that will bring 42 terrestrial radio stations from 29 markets to the satellite radio service, including WEEI and WFAN in New York. The deal expands SiriusXM’s local content and increases the reach of the Audacy-owned stations.
Twenty-three sports stations are part of the deal. They will be available on SiriusXM on Sept. 1, in time for the start of the NFL season. WEEI will be available through the SiriusXM app and in vehicles that subscribe to the service.
The deal does not affect WEEI’s availability on its flagship station or on its regional affiliates throughout New England.
Red Sox broadcasts will be available on the WEEI channel on SiriusXM.
