After winning over millions of young viewers online, Queensland made animated series Zip and the Tiny Sprouts is taking its biggest leap yet.
The award winning preschool favourite has secured a broadcast home on ABC Kids while also expanding to audiences worldwide through a new global streaming rollout on PlayKids Learning, introducing the lovable characters to even more families.
Queensland based Fade In Studio and Tiny Souls Media have secured a slate of international broadcast deals for the award winning digital first series, which will also launch globally on PlayKids Learning through distributor WildBrain.

Originally debuting on YouTube, the 52 episode series quickly built a loyal following, amassing more than 800,000 subscribers and millions of views before earning a Kidscreen Award and an Australian Writers’ Guild Award nomination.
Created for preschool audiences, the series follows Zip, Aria, Riff and Hum through the whimsical world of Harmony Hollow, using storytelling and original music to explore themes including resilience, patience and gratitude.
Fade In Studio’s International Emmy Award winning producer Peter Johnston said seeing the Australian made series grow from a digital success into a television broadcast milestone reflected the strength of the local animation industry and the support behind it.
“To see a project that was poured over by our incredible Australian crew grow from a digital phenomenon into a broadcast staple on ABC Kids is a dream realised.”
The project was produced by Tiny Souls Media with Brisbane’s Fade In Studio and its animation division K Love You Bye, with support from Screen Queensland and Screen Australia helping bring the production to life.
The series will premiere on ABC Kids later this year, while PlayKids Learning will make it available to audiences around the world.
