The suspect allegedly punched and kicked the worker before placing him in a headlock, police say.

Boston police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who is suspected of physically assaulting an employee in the Downtown Crossing area on Friday.
The incident occurred around 9:15 a.m., when officers responded to an assault and battery report at a business near Washington Street in Downtown Crossing, the Boston Police Department said in a community alert.
Police said the suspect became “verbally aggressive” after an employee asked him to provide identification. The suspect then allegedly physically assaulted the worker by punching and kicking him to the ground and placing him in a headlock.

The employee was taken to a local hospital to treat his injuries, police said.
The suspect is described as a light-complexioned Black male, around 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a slim build, black curly hair, a mustache, and a goatee.
Police said the suspect was last seen wearing a white button-down shirt, a gray tie, black pants, and gray sneakers, while carrying a black backpack.
He fled the Downtown Crossing area toward Winter Street, police said.
