Noah Kahan closed out a historic four consecutive nights at Fenway Park during a final show Saturday, which brought with it extra cause for celebration.
The show was marked by Kahan’s official induction into the Fenway Music Hall of Fame, according to a press release. His mom, Lauri Berkenkamp, made the surprise announcement during Saturday’s show, tying this achievement to the importance of family in his songs.
Kahan is the fourth artist ever to receive the honor, joining the likes of Billy Joel, Paul McCartney, and the Zac Brown Band, who were inducted in 2019 and 2022. It was a fitting way to close out what Gov. Maura Healey proclaimed “Noah Kahan Day.”
Though Kahan is originally from Vermont, he once lived in Watertown and has long treated Fenway Park as the final frontier for concert venues. Two years ago, he got his chance for the first time, performing back-to-back shows at the stadium.
Of course, Kahan’s other three shows on this year’s trip to Fenway weren’t without their fanfare. Highlights included fireworks and cameo appearances from Boston sports royalty, including Rob Gronkowski and Drake Maye of the New England Patriots and David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox.
2026 has been a big year for Kahan, marked mostly by the release of “The Great Divide,” his fourth studio album. In the weeks leading up to and following the album’s release, he starred in a Netflix documentary, debuted on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, and appeared on a May 9 episode of “Saturday Night Live.”
Coinciding with Kahan’s Fenway shows, Boston.com reviewed and ranked every song of his for fans new and old. The full list can be found here.
