ABC begins production on KNEE HIGH SPIES season two

The tiny heroes of Knee High Spies are heading back into action, with cameras now rolling on the second season of the award-winning ABC children’s series.

Production is underway in Melbourne as the interactive adventure returns with more missions, more puzzles and plenty of chaos caused by one very mischievous guinea pig.

Tim Bain, creator of the Werner Film Productions series, said the team was excited to reunite for another round of adventures after the success of the first season, which has earned major industry awards and a Logie nomination.

“The Knee High Spies team is thrilled to be back in production, working our magic to bring the toy spies to life again with spectacular new adventures.”

Season two sees toy spies Jeremy, Deena, Squash and Moss once again protecting their human family from Silver Paw’s latest schemes, with the crafty guinea pig, voiced by Ali McGregor, causing chaos while young viewers are invited to solve puzzles and uncover clues along the way.

The returning cast includes Christie Whelan Browne, Gareth Yuen, Josie Bath and Archie Zhang, with new adventures featuring everything from pillow fort disasters to sabotaging a game of leap the lava and an adorable pet bunny caught in the middle.

Since launching last year, the first season has been watched for 57 million minutes and has won the BANFF Rockie Award for Children: Live Action and the SPA Award for Children’s Production of the Year, while also earning a Logie Award nomination for Best Children’s Program.

Knee High Spies Season 1 is available to stream now on ABC iview, with Season 2 set to premiere on ABC in 2027.
