A driver fatally struck a bicyclist in Mission Hill on Thursday morning, police said.
The crash occurred around 8:20 a.m. at 1457 Tremont St., a Boston Police Department spokesperson said.
The driver stopped after crashing into the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Tremont Street was closed from Brigham Circle to Roxbury Crossing following the incident, the police department said in a traffic advisory. The street reopened around noon.
The victim’s identity will be released after the family has been notified and an autopsy has been performed, police noted.
The BPD Homicide Unit is investigating the incident, authorities said.
