Decoding Arjun Tendulkar & Saaniya Chandhok’s wedding decor

When planning their wedding, Arjun Tendulkar and Saaniya Chandhok, along with their families, envisioned a celebration that honoured both sides of their heritage. Bringing this vision to life was WeddingSutra Favorite – Fleuron Décor, who crafted two distinct design narratives inspired by the concepts of ‘Saanjh’, meaning togetherness, and ‘Saaj’, meaning adornment.

Wedding Planning
Bringing the celebrations to life was WeddingSutra Favorite Fleuron & Co. (Fleuron Décor), a design house established in 1972 and regarded among the country’s leading wedding décor and design companies. Led by Sahil Gidwani, the team translated the families’ vision into two distinct design narratives that celebrated their shared heritage. Sahil shares, “The families wanted every celebration to reflect their roots in a meaningful way. For the Mehendi, we drew inspiration from the warmth and vibrancy of Punjab through the concept of ‘Saanjh’, while the wedding embraced the elegance and grace of Marathi traditions through ‘Saaj’.”

Sahil adds, “From our first pitch for the wedding, we spent over two months with the families to finalize the décor and help them visualize every detail. We created renders for all functions and did extensive sampling for flowers and fabrics. Planning a wedding can be stressful so we always ensure that families who work with us never have to worry about decor on their big day! The Tendulkar wedding has truly been one for the books. Everyone knows that Sachin Sir isn’t just a legend, but an emotion that runs deep for every cricket fan. Sitting in front of him and pitching our ideas was truly a pinch-me moment. Anjali Ma’am, Saaniya, and Sara were all so involved in the decor process, which made it even more fun for us.”

Mehendi and Wedding
For both the Mehendi and the Wedding, the decor was anchored around traditional handlooms. For the Punjabi concept “Saanjh”, it was phulkari with all elements complimenting the vibrant colors.

For the wedding the decor took a more classic route with the “Saaj” concept using traditional Marathi handloom Paithani, and complemented it with white, green and brass elements.
