These days, it feels like the era of the Great Australian Music Festival has come to a spluttering halt. We’ve seen juggernauts like Splendour in the Grass, Listen Out, SXSW Sydney and Bluesfest falter – the latter after after an initial cancellation and attempted revival in 2024.
But luckily for us, there are still plenty of festivals carrying the torch in 2026. From established heavy-hitters like Laneway and Dark Mofo to more boutique festivals popping up like The Works and Summersalt. For the music lovers among us, we’ve collated a list of every Australian music festival slated for 2026, below.
1. The Works (1-25 January 2026)

14. BIGSOUND (1-4 September 2026)

Where: Day one will return to Flagstaff Hill, Wollongong, delivering the traditional outdoor festival experience that Yours & Owls has become known for. Day two, however, will shift into the city, across Wollongong’s streets, creating an urban festival experience where attendees can move between performances across the CBD.
