As summer gets underway in Philadelphia, families looking for a fun, affordable way to spend a Sunday afternoon have a perfect opportunity at the Navy Yard’s annual Family Fest on June 28.

Taking place from noon to 5 p.m. at Central Green, Family Fest is free and open to the public, bringing together live entertainment, local food vendors, family-friendly activities, and one of Philadelphia’s favorite mascots for an afternoon designed for all ages.

Throughout the afternoon, guests can enjoy live music performances, browse offerings from local arts and crafts vendors, and participate in a variety of activities designed for children and families. Lawn games, pickleball, and open green space provide plenty of room to play, while food trucks serving a range of cuisines will be available throughout the event.

A highlight of the day will be a special appearance by the Phillie Phanatic, giving fans an opportunity to snap photos and enjoy some classic Philadelphia fun.

Food lovers can choose from an array of local food trucks, including favorites serving everything from dumplings and sushi to cheesesteaks, Cajun specialties, desserts, and more. With pay-as-you-go options available, attendees can sample a variety of flavors while spending the day outdoors.
