Facebook is still experiencing a major outage after thousands of users around the world were logged out of their accounts and unable to access the platform.

The outage affected Meta owned products including Facebook Messenger, the Facebook website and app. It kicked off around 11.45pm AEST but is gradually coming back online.

Users were automatically logged of their accounts and have been unable to regain access, instead being met with an error message.
