A contemporary estate overlooking the Weston Reservoir has sold for $25.8 million, setting a new record for the highest-priced home sale in Weston history.
Located on 2.6 private acres with an additional buildable lot, the 17,000-square-foot custom residence at 9 Atlas Lane was designed by award-winning AD100 architect Thomas Catalano, whose work drew inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright’s philosophy of integrating architecture with the natural landscape.

“The seller had a vision and created this oasis that’s just minutes away from Boston,” said Amy Mizner, the listing agent. “He took a parcel that was absolutely extraordinary and created this contemporary home where he integrated the outside with the inside authentically.”

That connection to nature became one of the property’s defining features. The use of glass walls blurs the boundary between the house and landscape and the property’s outdoor living spaces were created with just as much care as the interior. There’s a saltwater infinity pool, outdoor showers, fire pits, terraces, and a private balcony off the primary suite.
“It was almost like a piece of art,” Mizner said. “How they integrated the outside limestone with the inside walls, how there is symmetry, and how the vantage point of all the views of the property were very carefully thought out.”
The six-bedroom, eight-bathroom home features formal and informal living spaces, a home theater, fitness and wellness areas, a wine cellar, and multiple entertaining spaces.

The town of Weston is no stranger to luxury housing, with Redfin listing the median sale price of a home over the last three months at $2.7 million, surpassing Boston. In today’s luxury housing market, Mizner said buyers arrive highly informed and with specific requirements. Privacy and security are top priorities, but customizability is also important.
“Most luxury buyers are very educated, especially if they’re choosing this to be their primary home,” Mizner said. “[A home] really has to satisfy a connection and a feeling that they can take it and make it their own.”

That possibility for personalization, combined with privacy, architectural excellence, and expansion potential, helped distinguish 9 Atlas Lane from other offerings, she said.
“I think the authenticity and rarity of finding this custom home rivaled any spec home being built,” Mizner said. “The buyer was able to make it their own, take it to the next level, and create their vision.”
