Meera Gets Upset After Being Insulted By Reporter

Meera is a prominent Pakistani film actress who has been a staple of Lollywood since her debut in the 1990s. She is known for films such as Chief Saab, Khilona, Khoey Ho Tum Kahan, Inteha, Baaji, and many others. Recently, she promoted her film Psycho, which was released under her production banner, Red Lipstick.

At one of the premieres of Psycho, Meera was insulted by a Pakistani film journalist who remarked, “She was a psycho, and while playing a psycho, she became a psycho. And even now, she hasn’t been able to come out of that psycho getup.”

Meera became upset and responded firmly, saying, “Look, listen to me. If you won’t give us respect, then it’s okay because we get a lot of respect in India. You called me a psycho. You people don’t give us respect; we don’t get respect here in Pakistan.” Meera then went on to seriously explain her character and praised the director. Watch the video here:

Fans and social media users are praising her response and calling out the journalist for being disrespectful toward her. One user wrote, “Who the hell is he to call her that?” Another commented, “Such useless journalists should not be given interviews.” A third wrote, “Journalism in the world is different from Pakistan; here it often goes below the belt.” Another user said, “Meera was right. They don’t give respect to our artists and women.” One fan added, “No one has the right to insult anyone.” Read the comments:
