Sharjah Women Sports Club won nine medals at the Talent Shooting Championship, held at Sharjah Sports Club.
The event brought together 140 boys and girls aged 12 to 16, with competition in 10-metre air rifle and 10-metre air pistol across advanced and beginner categories.
Sharjah’s shooters finished with three golds, two silvers and four bronzes, with their strongest results coming in the air rifle events.
Reem Al Ketbi won gold in the women’s advanced 10-metre air pistol event, contested over 60 shots. Teammate Shamma Abbas took bronze.
In the beginners’ 10-metre air pistol category, Ghayah Al Mazmi won silver and Maryam Al Junaibi added bronze.
The club’s best return came on the second day, when its shooters filled the podium in the advanced 10-metre air rifle event.
Tabarak Al Janabi took gold, Malak Al Bashar won silver and Khawla Al Raisi claimed bronze.
Sharjah Women Sports Club also added two medals in the beginners’ 10-metre air rifle category. Arwa Al Junaibi won gold, while Nora Saud Abbas took bronze.
The results gave the club a strong showing across both pistol and rifle disciplines, and offered another sign of the depth being built in youth shooting in Sharjah.
