Seven is opening casting for another season of The Chase Australia, with applications now live for Aussies keen to test their trivia skills against the Chasers.
The long running quiz series hosted by Larry Emdur appears likely to return for Season 17 as the network opens casting for more episodes of one of its key early evening formats.
The new casting notice comes after more than a year of industry speculation around the show’s long term future following the arrival and ratings success of Nine’s Tipping Point in the competitive 5pm timeslot.

While the newer format initially pulled plenty of attention away from Seven’s established quiz favourite, the series has quietly stabilised in recent months, gradually reducing the gap between the two rivals.
Rather than making a quick programming change amid the noise surrounding the timeslot battle, Seven appears to be staying the course with a format that still plays an important role leading into its nightly 6pm news bulletin.
Hopeful contestants will need sharp general knowledge, quick thinking and the confidence to face one of television’s toughest trivia line ups, all while being guided through the game by Emdur.
Filming takes place at NEP Studios in Eveleigh, Sydney with travel and accommodation costs to be covered by contestants themselves.
