A childcare worker accused of assaulting two young boys at a Sydney centre has now been charged over a second alleged incident involving two girls.
Police first began investigating on April 24 after receiving a report that two boys — aged three and four — had been slapped in the face by a worker at a Panania childcare centre the previous day.
Nepalese national Jayendra Jung Shahi, 24, who worked at Panania Montessori Academy in Sydney‘s southwest, was arrested on April 26 over the alleged assaults.

Following further inquiries, detectives attended a home in Belmore about 12.45pm on Monday and again arrested Shahi.
Police will allege he assaulted two girls — also aged three and four — in a separate incident.
He was taken to Campsie Police Station and charged with an additional two counts of common assault.
Panania Montessori Academy, which opened last year, confirmed his employment had been terminated following the initial allegations.
“We take any concerns of this nature extremely seriously, and the safety, health and wellbeing of children is always our highest priority,” the centre said in a statement.
“As soon as we became aware of the allegation, immediate action was taken including standing down the educator and reporting the matter to the police and regulatory authority.
“We have since terminated the educator’s employment.”
Shahi was refused bail and is expected to appear before Bankstown Local Court on Tuesday.
